In Canton, the MPRP proposes to construct a new 115 kV transmission line in the existing corridor that traverses the Canton-Jay municipal boundary in a southwesterly direction towards the Canton-Dixfield municipal boundary. In addition, the existing 115 kV transmission line will be removed and rebuilt utilizing single-pole structures. These lines will be constructed on single-pole structures that average 75 feet in height, however, pole heights will vary due to topographic constraints and the need to achieve spans that will avoid or minimize impacts to natural resources.
