In Cornville, the project is limited to a re-rate of the existing
115 kV transmission line. The existing line is approximately 4.0 miles
long, and begins at the Lakewood Substation facility located off of
East Madison Road in Madison. The transmission line runs northeast from the substation, crossing the Cornville-Madison municipal boundary, Molunkus Road and Beckwith Road, to connect with an existing transmission
line corridor near Oxbow Road.
The proposed re-rate work in Cornville will include the replacement of the existing transmission line conductor wires and the replacement of certain existing H-frame structures for this line. The replacement H-frame structures will be wooden and similar in size and appearance to the existing structures.
