The part of the program located in Dixfield involves the rebuilding of
an existing 115 kV transmission line and the construction of a new 115
kV transmission line in the existing corridor that extends through the
southeastern portion of town for approximately 2,000 feet from Peru
northeasterly through Dixfield and into Canton.
The new 115 kV transmission line will run on single-pole wood structures averaging 75 feet in height and will be located in the existing corridor. The existing 115 kV transmission line, which currently runs on approximately 45-foot tall H-frame structures in the center of the corridor, will be moved to the south side of the corridor and placed on single-pole structures that are typically 75 feet in height
