The part of the program located in the Town of Farmingdale involves work in an existing corridor that traverses the south-central portion of the town. In this corridor, which extends for approximately 4.2 miles from Browns Island on the Kennebec River to the West Gardiner town line, the project involves:

• Installing a new 345 kV transmission line (Section 3025). The new line will be constructed using two-pole wooden H-Frames structures typically 75 feet in height, and one lattice tower on Browns Island approximately 196 feet in height. The new line will be located along the south side of the corridor.
• Rebuilding of the existing 115 kV line (Section 60/212). This will involve the removal and replacement of the existing line, which will be constructed using single pole wooden structures typically 75 feet in height. One lattice tower on Browns Island will be approximately 172 feet in height. Section 60 will be rebuilt in the same location as the existing line between Kennebec Drive and Blaine Road.
  
• Rebuilding the existing 34.5 kV line and distribution circuit where the two lines cross the Kennebec River. This will involve the removal and replacement of the existing structures along Maine Avenue. The replacement structures will be located on the west side of Maine Avenue using two steel single pole structures that are approximately 97 feet in height.
