In Frankfort, MPRP activities will be taking place in two corridors in the northern portion of town. One corridor, which currently houses an existing 115 kV line, runs west to east from the western Monroe Town Line to Marsh Stream and crosses following roads in Frankfort: East Main Street, Fisher Road and Marsh Stream Road. The second corridor, which currently houses an existing 345 kV line, runs north to south from the Winterport Town Line to the southern Monroe Town Line near Swanville (hereafter referred to as the Monroe-Swanville line) and crosses the following roads in Frankfort: Hamm Road, Loggin Road, Parker Lane, and Town Hill Road.

As part of the Maine Power Reliability Program, CMP proposes to construct two new transmission lines and rebuild two existing transmission lines in Frankfort:

• A new 345 kV transmission line will be constructed in the corridor that runs west to east from Monroe to Marsh Stream where it intersects with the other corridor that runs from the Monroe-Swanville line northward to Winterport. From this intersection near Marsh Stream, the new line will turn northward and run in the center of the corridor heading north toward Winterport.  The new 345 kV line will be constructed with two-pole H-Frames structures that typically  average 75 feet in height.
  
• In the corridor running west to east from Monroe to Marsh Stream, the existing 115 kV line will be rebuilt on the northern side of the corridor on single pole structures averaging 75 feet in height.
  
• The existing 345 kV line that runs north from the Monroe-Swanville line to Winterport will be rebuilt on the eastern side of the corridor on two pole H-frame structures averaging 75 feet in height.
  
• A new 115 kV transmission line will be constructed in the corridor that runs north from the Monroe-Swanville line to Winterport (in the same corridor as the existing 345 kV line) on structures that are typically two-pole H-Frames averaging 55 feet in height.
