The project in Monmouth will involve:

• Creating a new corridor from Town Farm Road northward along approximately one mile of the Monmouth-Litchfield municipal boundary.
• Relocating the existing 115 kV line by removing the 115 kV transmission line within the existing corridor and constructing a new 115 kV transmission line, Section 212, within the new corridor. The new line will be constructed using wooden single pole structures that are typically 75 feet in height.
• Constructing a new 345 kV transmission line that will be carried on wooden H-frame structures with a typical height of 75 feet. The new 345 kV line will be located adjacent to the new 115 kV line within the new corridor.
• Discontinuing the 34.5 kV line in the existing corridor once the project is complete.
• Decommissioning the switching station at South Monmouth Road; and
• Constructing a new substation (Monmouth Substation) adjacent to the switching station site. The two-acre substation will consist of a yard with a security fence, two 115 kV transformers with sound barriers, and a control house.
