The part of the program located in Whitefield involves the construction of a new 345 kV transmission line and the relocation and rebuilding of two 115 kV transmission lines in the corridor that traverses the northwest corner of Town, running from Augusta northeasterly into Windsor.
The new 345 kV transmission line will be carried on two-pole H-frames averaging 75 feet in height. The line is proposed for the southern side of the corridor, with the H-frames centered approximately 85 feet from the southern edge of the right-of-way. In order to accommodate the new line, the two existing 115 kV transmission lines will be moved and rebuilt toward the northern side of the corridor on single wooden poles averaging 75 feet in height.
