The scope of work as a part of the Maine Power Reliability Program in Winterport consists of upgrades in two existing transmission line corridors including:

• The rebuilding/relocation of an existing 115 kV transmission line, Section 203 within the existing corridor that extends from Detroit to Frankfort (1/3 mile). The rebuilt line will be constructed on the northeast side of the corridor using single pole wooden structures approximately 75 feet in height.
• The installation of a new 345 kV transmission line, Section 3023, within the corridor that extends from Detroit to Frankfort (approximately 1/3 mile). The new line will be constructed using 2-pole wooden H-frame structures approximately 75 feet in height.
• The rebuilding/relocation of an existing 345 kV transmission line, Section 388 within the existing corridor that extends from Frankfort to Orrington (approximately 4.5 miles). The rebuilt line will be constructed on the southeast side of the corridor using 2-pole wooden H-frame structures similar to the existing structures.
• The installation of a new 345 kV transmission line, Section 3023, within the corridor that extends from Frankfort to Orrington (approximately 4.5 miles). The new line will be constructed using 2-pole wooden H-frame structures that are approximately 75 feet in height.
• The installation of a new 115 kV transmission line, Section 254, within the corridor that extends from Frankfort to Orrington (approximately 4.5 miles). The new line will be constructed using 2-pole wooden H-frame structures approximately 55 feet in height.
• Where Sections 254 and 3023 crosses the Lebanon Road and the Coles Corner Road, single pole steel structures 75 to 125 feet tall will be used.
• New lattice structures will be installed where Sections 388, 254 and 3023 cross the Penobscot River. The new structures will be approximately 350 feet in height.
