The project proposed in Eliot will take place within the existing transmission line corridor which runs from South Berwick to the Three Rivers Substation in the western portion of town for approximately 1.4 miles. The project involves the installing a new 345 kV transmission line, Section 3022, on the eastern side of the corridor on wooden H-frame structures averaging 75 feet in height, as well as the rebuilding of the existing 115 kV transmission line Section 250 on single pole structures averaging 75 feet in height. Additionally, the Public Service of New Hampshire (PSNH) is proposing a major expansion to the existing Three Rivers Substation. The project is still seeking the necessary permits in Eliot.
