The part of the program located in Greene involves work in two existing transmission line corridors. One corridor extends through the western portion of town for approximately 6.5 miles from Lewiston northerly through Greene and into Leeds; the other extends through the southeastern portion of town for approximately 4.2 miles from Lewiston northeasterly through Greene and into Wales. More specifically, the project involves:

• Installing a new 115 kV transmission line to the east of the existing transmission line within the existing corridor. The new transmission line will be constructed using 82 single-pole structures and six H-frame 3-pole structures that are typically 75 feet in height.
• Installing a new 345 kV transmission line (Section 3025) within the existing corridor. The new transmission line will be constructed using 11 single-pole structures, 26 H-frame double-pole structures, and four H-frame 3-pole structures that are typically 75-100 feet in height.
• Rebuilding an existing 115 kV electrical transmission line that currently runs on approximately 45-foot tall H-frame structures on the southeastern portion of the corridor. The line will be moved to the northwestern side of the corridor and placed on 55 single-pole structures that are typically 75 feet in height.
  
• Removing an existing 34.5 kV electrical transmission line, Section 41. As a result of the MPRP upgrades, this section will no longer be needed.
