The portion of the MPRP located in Livermore Falls involves the construction of two new 115 kV electric transmission lines and the expansion of the existing Livermore Falls Substation.

Livermore Falls Substation Expansion – The locations of the proposed substation modifications will consist primarily of the addition of new 115 kV dead-end structures, breakers, a new control house, and other related equipment. In addition to the existing 1.33 acres of developed land, approximately 1.59 acres of CMP property will become new permanently developed area including foundations, concrete pads, a control building, and the crushed stone surface of the expanded 115/34.5/12 kV yard. The expanded substation and its existing access road and parking areas will therefore occupy approximately 2.92 acres of land.

New 115 kV Transmission Line – CMP proposes to construct at total of approximately 7.9 miles of new 115 kV electric transmission line within Livermore Falls as part of the MPRP.

Approximately 0.3 miles of new 115 kV transmission line will be constructed between the Livermore Falls Substation at Moose Hill Road and the Livermore Falls/Jay municipal boundary to the north. This existing CMP corridor is currently occupied by two 115 kV transmission lines, between which the new 115 kV line will be constructed using four single-pole structures that are typically 75 feet in height.

Between the Livermore Falls Substation and the Livermore Falls/Leeds municipal boundary, 7.6 miles of new 115 kV transmission line will be constructed between the existing 115 kV line and the eastern boundary of the corridor. The new transmission line will be constructed using 90 single-pole structures and two H-frame 3-pole structures that are typically 65-75 feet in height.
