Construction of two 34.5 kV transmission lines are under way in Yarmouth and will continue until April 2012. The areas affected are in the vicinity of: Hillside Avenue in Yarmouth, Elm Street in Cumberland, and Tower Road in North Yarmouth. The new transmission lines will be built both on new single pole structures, approximately 55 to 65 feet in height, as well as standard construction traditional single pole structures 45 feet in height.
In Cumberland and North Yarmouth, construction of a new tranmission line is underway. The new structures are 55 to 65 feet tall on average.
