The project proposed in North Berwick will take place within the existing transmission line corridors that traverse the town line from Wells to South Berwick in the southern portion of town for
approximately 2.7 miles. The project involves the installing a new 345
kV transmission line, Section 3022, on the eastern side of the corridor
on wooden H-frame structures averaging 75 feet in height, as well as the
rebuilding of the existing 115 kV transmission line Section 250 on
single pole structures averaging 75 feet in height. Section 250 is proposed to leave its existing corridor and be rebuilt in the Section 140 corridor to the Goulds Bridge Road Substation, where it will follow Section 197 back to the existing Section 250 corridor.
