Approvals by Regulatory Groups

State and national regulatory groups require certain approvals prior to the construction of major projects like the Maine Power Reliability Program. Among these necessary approvals were:

• Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) from the Maine Public Utilities Commission (MPUC)
• Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Permit
• Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) Permit
• Technical approval from ISO New England
