In Rumford, the MPRP is located in the southeastern portion of town for
approximately 1.8 miles from the Rumford Industrial Park, southeasterly
through Rumford, and into Peru. Specifically, the project involves
rebuilding the existing 115 kV electrical transmission line and
installing a new 115 kV transmission line.
The existing 115 kV transmission line, which currently runs in the center of the corridor on H-frame structures approximately 45 feet in height, will be moved to the south side of the corridor and placed on single-pole structures that are typically 75 feet in height. The new 115 kV transmission line will run on H-frame structures that are typically 75 feet above ground within the existing corridor.
