The project in Yarmouth includes the construction of a new 345 kV transmission line, Section 3020, and the rebuilding of two existing 34.5 kV transmission lines in the existing transmission corridor that traverses the Yarmouth/Cumberland municipal boundary from North Yarmouth to the new Raven Farm Substation in Cumberland.
The new 345 kV line will be constructed on wooden H-frame structures approximately 85 feet in height. The two existing 34.5 kV transmission lines will be constructed on wooden monopoles approximately 45-55 feet in height. An existing 12.5 kV transmission distribution line will also be removed to accommodate the proposed transmission line construction.
